If you have none of the air quality affecters then have your heat pump cleaned every three years.

If you have one of the air quality affecters mentioned above then have your heat pump cleaned every two years.

If you have 2 or more of the affecters then have your heat pump cleaned once a year.

If you clean you filter prior to dirt saturation then it will help extend the time needed between deep cleaning. Clean your filter every 1-3 months depending on the air quality affecters in your home.

Make sure the out door unit stay free and clear of debris.

Prevent shrubs and bushes from growing into the unit.

Make sure that water does not cover the machine in ice over the winter.
